Position Overview
The Pando Tenant Relations Specialist plays a key role in supporting, guiding, and mentoring Pando tenants while strengthening community connections. Drawing on lived experience, you’ll work alongside our Care Coordination Team to provide supportive services that help tenants achieve stability and independence.
From facilitating tenant councils to organizing enrichment activities, your work will foster engagement, build social capital, and connect tenants to valuable resources—all while upholding the Housing First philosophy.
What You’ll Do
- Oversee Pando Mentoring Programs: Provide coaching, guidance, and peer support to encourage tenant participation. Act as a liaison between program partners and tenants, ensuring clear communication and timely outcome reporting.
- Lead the Pando Tenant Council: Coordinate monthly meetings, set agendas, take minutes, and follow up on action items with leadership and team members.
- Plan Community Enrichment Activities: Organize diverse on-site events and workshops covering topics like nutrition, financial literacy, health and wellness, and employment opportunities.
- Maintain Program Documentation: Keep internal tracking systems accurate and up to date to reflect service delivery and tenant progress.
- Support Housing Compliance: Assist the Pando Housing Specialist with HUD file compliance and documentation.
- Champion Best Practices: Learn and implement Pando’s policies and approaches, including harm reduction, motivational interviewing, and trauma-informed care.
What You Bring to the Table
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Detail-oriented approach to documentation and reporting
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to maintaining appropriate boundaries and confidentiality
Preferred qualifications:
- Peer Support Specialist training or Certified Recovery Specialist credential (or willingness to pursue)
What You Need to Apply
- Must be at least 21 years old
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Valid Indiana Driver’s License and clean driving record
- Ability to pass a background check and maintain a drug-free workplace
